This call is designed for stressed out dog owners who want a well-behaved, calm, and obedient dog—without relying on treats, food, or aversive tools. If any of the following sounds like you, then you’re in the right place:

🐶 New Dog Owners – You love your dog but struggle to find the right training methods that fit into your hectic schedule.

🐶 Frustrated Owners – You’ve tried different trainers, tools, and even tons of treats, but your dog still doesn’t listen or behave reliably.

🐶 Owners of Reactive or Stubborn Dogs – Your dog pulls on the leash, barks excessively, or doesn’t listen—especially in distracting environments.

🐶 Dog Owners Who Want a Proven, Ethical Training Method – You’re looking for force-free, effective, and practical training that works for real life—without food bribes or punishment.

This call is not for everyone—and that’s okay! To get the best results, you must be open to new methods and committed to building a strong relationship with your dog. If any of the following describes you, this program may not be the right fit:

🚫 If you’re looking for a quick fix – This is not a magic solution. True, lasting results take commitment, consistency, and patience.

🚫 If you want to rely on treats, food, or bribes to train your dog – My method focuses on play, praise, and real connection—not food dependency.

🚫 If you believe in using shock collars, prong collars, or other aversive tools – This program is 100% force-free. If you think dogs need to be dominated or punished to learn, this isn’t for you.

🚫 If you’re not willing to invest time in your dog – This program requires active participation. If you’re looking for a passive training method where someone else does all the work, this won’t be a good fit.

This program is designed for dog owners who truly care about their dog’s well-being and want a respectful, effective, and lifelong training approach. If that’s you—let’s get started! 🐶💙

Before we started training with Saro Josh, and I were both feeling confused but It was no longer confusing for Josh and me as we continued through the program with Saro.

I highly recommend Saro’s training system. You will need to take everything you learned and expect to teach your family members the same training methods. This will only work if everyone is on the same page at home.

When I adopted my dog, I was completely inexperienced, and I felt overwhelmed.  Saro's training not only helped me connect with my Beagle but also transformed our relationship entirely. As a busy working woman, it took me a while to take the lessons, but with each one, my bond with Tiger significantly deepened. A few months of maternity leave further enhanced our relationship. I highly recommend Saro's training course over any other.

I couldn't believe how quickly she responded to training without treats. Sasha is a bit overweight and needs to have less food in her life. Positive reinforcement is key to this type of training, as well as firm, clear and confident commands.

“The course was great, I have a friend who spent a lot of money on a course and they did not address all the issues such as feeding”. “There are no treats involved in the training at all”. “He never howls or barks, it is going really well on our daily walks”. “When I meet dogs or strangers he simply sits and waits for them to come”. “I bring him everywhere, in the car, to my friends at school when I pick up my son”. “The vet is amazed at how well-behaved he is.”

In general, I also like that his approach is holistic and natural.  Now we have a lovely 1-year-old Beagle who is much calmer on walks and easier to manage. We feel much more relaxed and loving with our dog.

Very Calm researched based training from Saro Boghozian What videos I've watched are very informative and a lot of the methods I've used with older completely untrained large guardian dogs. And best of all he's local! so if you need help, give him a shout.

I have used treats in the past. And couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working when I/my Puppy needed it most. Hindsight is 20/20. I wish I had found Saro back with my last dog. Today I have a 10 mo Rhodesian Ridgeback. I found Saro because treats sent my boy someplace wrong when training. And all the trainers local to me used treats, prong/e collars, and collar pops. I figured there had to be a way to train without treats or punishment. I am so HAPPY to say that at 10 months my boy is partially trained. But trained right. We have a great bond. And are slowly taking each step to ensure trust remains. He is shy. And big. And his brain is constantly rewiring itself as he grows. It has been wonderful to watch Saro’s videos, apply the simple and effective ideas, and see the positive growth. Thank you Saro! Had I listened to all the naysayers, including my vet, my big shy boy would probably be a lot less stable and happy.

I like Saro because he treats dogs with respect and they always look great. He’s interesting because he’s smart and brings some unique ideas and insight to the table. He’s very creative using simple concepts. He’s also bang on with using impulse control exercises to burn mental energy, along with drive capping during play is all great stuff. You’re bang on about adjusting the ratio to suit the dog, but also the amount of time and how much you want to amp up the dog whilst also expending energy.
@TeslaNick2
You're the first trainer I hear say "beagles are easy to train" 😂 and that is why I only trust you when it comes to train beagles nothing else helped... In my country I've even heard professional trainers giving up on beagles cz they're "untrainable" I've watched your videos for years now and thanks to you my beagle is a calm obedient dog compared to the stubborn chaotic puppy he was Keeping him on leash around the house helped a LOT, he now knows there is a certain time he's off leash and he behaves, and you're right he actually loves being on leash cz he loves keeping us company wherever we are Also long walks to satisfy his sniffing needs were important And treat searching games to keep him entertained because he is not the type of dog who likes to play fetch but rather prefers to sniff and search So thank you for your educational videos and tips, for helping us understand our dogs better and what they need Love and support from Lebanon ❤️

When I was watching this I train horses and just thought about it and realized that the way I reward my horses I'd bye taking a step back and also letting them be what me I never realized giving dogs treats for training really seems weird. Saro Dog Training • Horses and dogs are very similar in few ways. REPLY Georgia Daily • @Saro Dog Training yep and I started training my dog today and followed you method and realized all the tricks my mom taught her where all just because she wanted a treat not using treats in just one day I have seen way better results thank goodness I saw your video I was watching the trainer who gives a million treats I'm glad you made that video thank you
Georgia Daily
Saro Boghozian That is one of the reasons why I don't use treats to train dogs. It confuses the dog and the dog owner. Also, if you are supposed to fade out the treats, why would you use them in the first place? 🔧 Author Saro Boghozian Food is a primary reinforcer for dogs so there's great reason to use it but it must be used properly. I've never met a dog that was confused by a treat but I could see an owner being confused if they aren't trained to use food properly and that's why I made the video.. It's great to "pay" dogs for working hard and a lot of dogs LOVE treats. It's also important to understand the timing and use so they are most effective and they aren't running the show. Do you like to get paid at work? Or would you rather work for free? There's no harm in using treats as long as you use them and fade them appropriately. Most dogs are highly motivated by them! Once we build a behavior we shouldn't need them anymore but it's always nice to surprise them anyway, just like you would but giving someone flowers. But they work really well for building behaviors quickly.

Can’t wait for this winter to walk on the trails. Oreo (basset/beagles mix) had to be leashed but I am hoping he will be Ok to be off leash this year. He was adopted 2 years ago and now is very good at staying with me. Thanks to Saro and his training methods.
Christine Lanthier
Saro, you are awesome. The way you deliver information makes it so easy to process and understand. Thank you.

The BEST! Training is what WORKS! and I have found that play and praise is the only type of training that works for me and my 2 dogs.
Nancy Ritland
Play and Praise works. My dog was trained on treats. Now saying "good boy " is magical, and he doesn't look for treats as much.
Cynthia Ingram
I loved the puppy training 101 course. My dog has become a joy to be with. Maybe me too. We both have to learn and grow, right? Godspeed.
